Elements of Art and Principles of Design in Photography

Elements

Line
The perfect example of line because it shows a painting which uses manual strokes to make.
Shape
In this image you can pick up and visualize many basic shapes in the image such as the triangle at the bottom.
Color
This image represents color for obvious reasons, but for explanation purposes the image shows a nice blend of color for different objects in the image.
Value(Tone)
This image is perfect because it goes from light to dark as you get lower in the image.
Form
This image gives a sense of a 3d  appearance making it a perfect example of form.

Texture

I chose this image because it uses texture to make people look real.

Space

I chose this image for space because the space makes it look like people are on the edge of a cliff.

Principles

Contrast
This is contrast because of the use of red and green which are complementary colors.

Balance
I chose this image for balance because it has two subjects that seem to be about same size.

Emphasis
Emphasis because it has the main subject visible which is the three people.

Unity
This represents Unity because it has a good consistency of subjects that don't compete with the main.

Pattern
I would say this is pattern because of how it reuses the same can over and over.

Movement
This is movement because it has a main line leading you through the image.

Rhythm
This is also a good example of rhythm because of the repetition of people in it.
